Mr. Early Robert Arnett, son of the late Mr. Rufus Dillard Arnett and Mrs. Hovia Ella Simpson Arnett, was born March 8, 1912 in Green County and departed this life at 1 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 1973, at the Adair County Hospital in Columbia. He was 60 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Ailene Boston, who preceded him in death. To this union were born two daughters: Mary Jo and Melinda Sue Arnett. Mr. Arnett is also survived by one stepson: Bobby Boston; one brother; Goldie Arnett, Greensburg; and four sisters: Mrs. Gertrude Walker, Mrs. Helen Judd, Mrs. Opal Kessler and Mrs. Hola Underwood, all of Greensburg. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. (CST) Wednesday, February 7, 1973, with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Rev. Carlos Compton officiated. Pallbearers: Gearon Simpson, Cecil Simpson, Fred Davis, Ray Davenport, June Wooldridge, and Ronda Arnett.
