Raymond E. Colton Funeral Wednesday

The funeral for Raymond E. Colton, 91, Glasco, was Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. at the Dean Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Winters officiating.

Mr. Colton died Monday, Aug. 19, 1985, at the Ottawa County Hospital, Minneapolis.

He was born Jan. 11, 1894, in the Pipecreek area, Ottawa County, Kans. He was a Veteran of World War I, serving with the 340th Field Artillery Supply Company and was a member of the Glasco American Legion Post. Ray was a retired farmer and spent his adult life on his farm six miles east of Glasco. For years Ray served as the Assessor and Clerk for the Lyon Township and served on the Glasco Cemetery Board.

Survivors include his wife, Retah of the home; a daughter, JoAnn Hyde and her husband Paul of Great Bend; a sister, Mrs. Thersa Hurtig, Downs; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Frank and Leo Colton, and a sister, Genevive LaBarge.

Burial was in the Glasco Cemetery.
memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis or National Diabetes Foundations.
Organist was Mrs. Gale Ethridge.
Casketbearers were Gale Ethridge, Jerry Heidrick, Eldon Henderson, Milton Henderson, Dick Louthan, Roland Nothern.
Dean Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
