Bryan Scott Reid II of Honey Brook
Bryan Scott Reid II, known as "Boo Boo" by his family, was born on August 6, 1982 in the Brandywine Hospital. Bryan grew up in a house in the woods on North Sandy Hill Road in Coatesville and then moved to Honey Brook with his family during his teenage years. As a young boy, Bryan could be found building lego's, Lincoln logs, model cars, or transformers. His mom said he was a total sweetheart of a little boy and she called him "mommy's little man." He grew to love anything involving problem solving and at one time was determined to figure out how to make a flux capacitor (from the movie Back to the Future) so that him, Anthony Winchester, and Brandi could time travel. He had a fondness for the great outdoors and spent a lot of time wandering the woods with his dog, Mutely. As a teenager, you could usually find Bryan roaming around the woods on his four-wheeler, and then later his dirt bike. It was in his nature to always be toying around with anything that had an engine. Many times you could find Bryan hanging out in the woods, sometimes covered in mud from riding, with his best friend, Greg Alexander. Bryan, as a young man, became interested in music. He was a gifted guitar player and singer and also had recently begun toying around with the banjo and mandolin. As our family went through pictures, most all of them showed him making funny faces, wearing funny hats, holding one of his little brothers (Blair or Louie) or a puppy or kitty, or tinkering with something (an instrument, model, or something with an engine). Family was a priority for Bryan. He often visited his mom or sister and just spent time with everyone. Bryan could be described as an "old soul in a young body." He was spontaneous, generous, caring, and an inspiration to many. Bryan had a real gift for making people laugh and finding humor in everything. Bryan passed away on a beautiful sunshiny afternoon on Monday, September 24, riding his motorcycle that he enjoyed very much. All who knew and loved Bryan are invited to join his family at a memorial service, to be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 28, from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, to celebrate his 30 years of life.
