Emma Shafer Wigtion, 92, of Gideon, Mo., died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett. Born March 10, 1912, in Adamsville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late James Robert and Melinda Wells Meek.
On Nov. 26, 1928, she married Robert Fulton Shafer, who preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1982 and she later married Eldridge Wigtion on July 19, 1987 and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2001. She was also preceded in death by one son, Daniel Shafer; one daughter, Lorene Brown; two grandsons, Dewayne Brown and Danny Shafer; two sisters, Lucille and Lena Howard and three brothers, Amos, Leven and Edgar Meek.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Sherrin officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.
