Lloyd W. Anderson, 95 of Jesup, Ga. died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 after an extended illness. The Wayne County, Ga. native attended Piney Grove Church of God and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in World War ll. He was a retired farmer and loved to fish and ride his four-wheeler.
Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Virginia Clary Anderson of Jesuo, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. and Jewell Anderson of Jesup, Ga.; a daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Ronnie Jones of Jesup, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Aletha C. Anderson of Jesup, Ga.; 2 grandchildren, Melissa and Reid Orvin, Ryan Lloyd Jones, of Jesup, Ga.; 2 great grandchildren, Gage and Gavin Orvin of Jesup, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Friday, September 28, 2012 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Lord and Rev. Richard Dobson officiating, along withthe American Legion Post 311's presentation of the U.S. Flag.
Interment will be in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ryan Jones, Ronald Anderson, Royal Westberry, Dan Clary, Archie and Mad Harvery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the funeral home.
