In 1883 he came to Geneva and had resided in Fillmore county the remainder of his life. At the time of his passing he was residing with his daughter, Mrs. Gordon Nichols, in Fairmont, Neb.
September 20, 1891, he was united in marriage to Miss Lockey Wright at Strang, Neb. She preceded him in death November 20, 1926.
To this union eight children came to bless the home with one son, Donald, having taken his reward. Those who will miss the loved one are Mrs. Wesley Miller of Nampa, Idaho, Mrs. Verla Coleman of Lincoln, Mrs. Herbert Nichols of Geneva, Mrs. Gordon Nichols of Fairmont Harold of Grafton, Walter of Stella and Lyle of North Platte, twenty-two grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
His life was as quiet and peaceful as his passing.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, December 2, at the Congregational church in Geneva, Rev. L. F. Fishel of the Fairmont Methodist church officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
