Irene M. Lowe, 81, of Polson, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 1999, of natural causes.

She was born in Baluieu [Beaulieu], Minn., on June 8, 1917, to Joe and Lucy Voit. When Irene was 3 years old, her mother passed away. As a teen-ager Irene cleaned houses and helped with farm work. At age 25 she moved to Polson with an aunt and uncle.

Irene is survived by her daughter Marilyn Jennison of Polson; two grandsons, Vinson and Monte Jennison, both of Polson; six great-grandchildren, Jake, Justin, Jeffery, Kimbery, Scott and Sean, all of Polson; and four sisters, Christine Kainz of Hibbing, Minn.; and Rosella Granthane, Philomere Lambrecht and Katherine LaVella, all of Portland, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, a half sister, a half brother and her stepmother, Bertha Voit.
