!OBITUARY: THE CHRONICLE; week ending Friday June 18 1909 ROBERT BRUCE NELSON died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Agnes Napier on Franklin Street. Although Mr. Nelson was in failing health his death Sunday was not expected.
ROBERT BRUCE NELSON was born in Vermont July 8 1836 and was the oldest son of Mr & Mrs John Nelson. When Robert was 8 years old his parents moved to Bryant Hill, Franklinville NY. they covered the entire distance by team & on foot. In 1861 he married Miss Margaret Mc Pherson of this place. In 1865 Mr Nelson parents moved to the state of Iowa and Mr Nelson moved to the farm on Bryant Hill where he resided to about six years ago, when he and his wife both in failing health moved to their daughter's home Mrs Agnes Napier in Franklinville.
Deceased leaves 5 children: Mrs Agnes Napier Franklinville, NY Mrs O. S. Jamison and Mrs H. H. Jamison of South Dakota, James Nelson Buffalo NY, William Nelson Salamanca NY. Besides the 5 children also survived by: 1 sister and 4 brothers. Eliza Glosgow, Jacob Nelson, Samuel Nelson of Iowa, William Nelson of Idaho, Cortland Nelson of Wellsville NY. Robert was one of 10 children, 5 deceased, Fred Nelson, James Nelson, John Nelson, Elizabeth Wheat and Jane Dennison
