Elwood Daniel Schrock, 83, Rockwood, died May 14, 1997, at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 11, 1914, in Rockwood. Son of the late Elmer Lloyd and Cora Jemima (Pritts) Schrock. Also preceded in death by sisters, Evelyn Schrock and Vena Barclay, and Brothers: Clark, Paul, Earl, Ray, jay and Donald Schrock. Survived by wife, the former June Mardelle Pyle, to whom he was married for 52 years. Brothers of Mrs. Violet Barclay, Robert P. Schrock and Mrs. Betty Snyder, all of Rockwood RD 2; Mrs. Geraldine Barron, Somerset RD 2; James R. Schrock, Somerset. Member of Rockwood Church of the Brethren. Retired self-employed house painter. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Jay L. Christner officiating. Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
