She was born March 16, 1948 at Victoria, the daughter of Joe and Matilda (Kuhn) Hammerschmidt.
She married Ronald Heidel in March 1973.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; one son, Clayton, of the home; and one daughter, Heather, of the home; her mother, Victoria; six brothers, Ernest, Robert, Leon, Bill and Leo, all of Plainville, and Thomas, Hugaton; five sisters, Mrs. Loren (Alice) Arnold, Hutchinson, Mrs. Earl (Elaine) Sunley, Hays, Mrs. Alfred (Mary) Hammersmith, Elinwood, Mrs. William (JoAnn) Jacobs, LaCrosse, and Mrs. Mark (Theresa) Conboy, Goodland.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, St. Anne Catholic Church, Wichita; Resurrection Cemetery. Rosary was at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Flanagan Hunt Mortuary, Wichita.
