JERSEY CITY - Elva Saxenmeyer Meehan, a summer resident of Spring Lake, died yesterday at Jersey City Medical Center. She was 74 and lived at 26 Kennedy Blvd. She was born in Philadelphia and lived here for more than 50 years. She had been a summer resident of Spring Lake for many years. Mrs. Meehan was a communicant of St. Aeden's Roman Catholic Church, here. Her husband of 56 years, Thomas F. Meehan, died in June. Surviving are four sons, Thomas F. Meehan, George B. Meehan, John Meehan and Robert Meehan, all here; two daughters, Miss Elva Meehan, here, and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Carr, Pittsburgh; a brother, George Saxenmeyer, Avon; a sister, Mrs. Laura Merrick, Belmar, and three grandchildren. The Meehan Funeral Home, Spring Lake Heights, is in charge of arrangements.
