Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Perrysburg Baptist Church for Orpha Rebecca ADKINS, 86, Route 6, Peru.
The Rev. Lu LASHER-MILEY will officiate Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. today at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. Memorials may be made to the Perrysburg Baptist Church, Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Foundation.
Mrs. Adkins died at 5:33 p.m. Sunday at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born in Union Township in Miami County to Truman George and Clora Edith BROWN KNAUFF. On Dec. 24, 1925 at the home of the late C.F. GOLDEN, near Chili, she married Oren Chester ADKINS who died Aug. 20, 1990. She was a homemaker and a seamstress for J.C. Penney Company and Senger Dry Goods in Peru. She was a member of the Perrysburg Baptist Church, the former Jefferson Township Homebuilders Home Extension Club and the Miami County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are four daughters, Bobette MILLER, Macy; Bernita ADKINS, Portage; Belva CULL, Modesto, Calif.; Barbara LONG, Carmel; a sister, Orma June RICH, Fort Wayne; a brother Myron KNAUFF, Valparaiso; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchidren; and a greatgreat- grandchild. Preceding in death were two brothers, Glen and Gerald KNAUFF.
