Son of Milo and Mary S Routson.

Brother of Newlin Sampson, Almanzor Jonathan, Edith Arminda, Ulisus Grant, Edward Everett, Lucy Jane, Eulalia Amanda, and Burton Baldwin.

Half brother to George William, Ransom Crawford, Almyra Sabrina, and Ansel Milo.

He moved to Farmersville, Livingston Co., Missouri about 1872 with his family. He left home before 1893 and moved to Kansas City, Wyandotte Co., Kansas.

Married Etta Winifred "Minnie" Rhoback (may be spelled Bohrbach or Rohrbach) on October 21, 1895, in Kansas City Missouri.

Sons Lester born July 1896, Roland born Jan. 1898 and Herbert born Dec. 1898, were all born in KS. The family obviously traveled extensively the first decade of the 1900's. Son Willard was born 8 Apr. 1902 in Guthrie, OK. Herbert died between 1900-1910 and another child was born, but died before 1910. The last son Leonard was born 1907 in KS. A final move to NE. before 1910, completed their travels.

Edmund was hit by a car and died according to the June 14, 1940 Omaha World Herald.
