Donald F. Anguish
Donald F. "Banjo" Anguish,Sr., 86, Topeka, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1992, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Anguish had been a carman 28 years for Santa Fe Railways when he retired in 1972.
He was born April 21, 1906, at Arapahoe, Neb., the son of Jacob and Carrie Stufflebeam Anguish. He lived in Topeka since 1922.
Mr. Anguish was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Santa Fe Carman's union.
He was married to Irene May Nov. 16, 1934, in Topeka. She survives. A son, Robert A. Anguish, died Oct. 27, 1987.
Other survivors include two daughters, Wilma Otteson, Cathedral City, Calif., and Mary Isbell, Riverside, Calif.; a son, Donald F. Anguish Jr., Topeka; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Anguish will lie in state after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home where family and friends will meet from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 2322 N.E. Laurent, 66616.
