Eddie Mae Hearne-Benton-Lowe, age 72, of Fordyce, died Monday, May 26, 2003, at her home at Fordyce. She was born November 20, 1930 in the Hollywood Community.

She was a retired Dallas County Tax Assessor and a member of the Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church.

Eddie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Lowe and her parents, Judson Edward Hearne and Bertha Mae Gill-Hearne.

Survivors include two sons, Craig Benton of Little Rock and Jim Benton of Forest City, NC; one daughter, Judy Benton Lamb of Bossier City, LA; two brothers, Marlin Hearne of Fordyce and Judd Hearne of North Little Rock; three sisters, Jean Hardman of Fordyce, Evelyn Doyle of Ransey and Allamerle Raney of Ivan; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral services were held the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Charles Sandage and Elder Don Farris officiating. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home, Inc.
