James Walter Veirs Sr. BROWNSVILLE Services for James Walter Veirs Sr., 70, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gene Barnes and the Rev. Wesley McKinney off iciating;. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery with Brownsville Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Veirs died Friday at Haywood Park Hospital. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II. Mr. Veirs was owner of J.W. Veirs and Son Insurance Agency. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Claiborne Veirs; three sons, James Walter Veirs Jr. of North Granby, Conn., Thomas Claiborne Veirs of Los Angeles and Albert Carlton Veirs II of Brownsville; a brother, Albert Carlton Veirs of Brownsville; a sister, Mrs. R.H. Lohmiller of Minneapolis; and two grandchildren.
