Shelburne Falls - Mrs Sarah J Cardwell, 83, of Detroit, Mich., and formerly of Shelburne Falls, died Friday at her home. She was the widow of George Cardwell.
She was born in the Province of Quebec Canada Jan. 13, 1876 and came to Shelburne Falls when a young girl. She made her home here for 35 years.
She leaves a son Howard G Cardwell of Detroit, with whom she made her home, a daughter Mrs Gertrude Boudreau of Florida, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 at the Smith funeral home in Shelburne Falls with Rev. Louis Kirlin of Trinity Fellowship officiating. Burial will be in Arms Cemetery.
