Dean W. Norris, 93, of Fort Wayne, died at 12:29 a.m. Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

He was born May 18, 1922 in Richland Twp, Whitley County, Indiana a son of the late C. Earl and Hazel L. (Schuh) Norris. His formative years were spent on a farm south of Larwill. He graduated from Larwill High School in 1940.

From 1942 until 1945, he served with the United States Army in India and Burma.

On September 28, 1946 he was united in marriage to M. Evelyn Ulery. They lived in rural Larwill until 1950 when the couple moved to Fort Wayne. Mrs. Norris died April 30, 1984.

On June 29, 1985 he married Berdena E. Grunewald. In 1987, the couple moved to Messick Lake near Wolcottville. In 1999 they moved to Auburn and 2010, Fort Wayne.

He spent his work career in the plumbing business first working for Borkenstein Plumbing, Fort Wayne for 10 years and then becoming a partner in M & N Plumbing, Fort Wayne for over 30 years retiring in 1987.

He was a charter member of Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren, Cedar Lake Church of the Brethren and the Fort Wayne Plumbing and Heating Association. He enjoyed enjoyed being with family and friends and watching sports especially with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Berdena; 3 sons, William (Brenda) Norris, Indianapolis, Brian (Linda) Norris, Crawfordsville, and Thom (Stephanie) Norris, Fort Wayne; 2 step-daughters, Linda (Brian) Norris, Crawfordsville, and Patricia (Todd) Brown, Fort Wayne; a step-son, Douglas (Sandy) Sanders, Fort Wayne; 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Debbie Poffenberger; 3 brothers, Max, Rex and Bruce Norris and two sisters, Joan Clapp and Violet Pfister.
