Margaret Theresa Doyle was baptized on 6 May 1858 at St. Mary's in Halifax. Her parents were John and Elizabeth (Whelan) Doyle. She had several siblings. She lived on The Northwest Arm in Nova Scotia with her family and married Thomas Melville Hosterman on 2 Mar 1878 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Halifax. She was 21 when she married. She had three sons, John Edward, William Seamore and Walter Bertram Hosterman. Her first son, John Edward Hosterman is my grandfather. Her other sons both died in their 20's after moving to Massachusetts/Rhode Island with their father.

Though most Hosterman family members are buried in the Old Burying Ground and Camp Hill Cemetery in Nova Scotia, I'm unable to find a burial record for her there. She could be buried along with her Doyle family in one of the Catholic cemeteries in Nova Scotia so I hope to locate her resting place one day.

UPDATE: Today, 13 Jan 2016 I found a burial record for my Great Grandmother. She died on 14 Aug 1882 and was buried on 16 Aug 1882 in Holy Cross Cemetery so I'm updating her memorial. I also found information on her parents and some siblings and will be updating and making new memorials.

Update: On 13 Aug 2016 I received pictures of her headstone from Pat Curran who works at Holy Cross Cemetery. Unfortunately her headstone is broken and is difficult to read. Mr. Curran gave me permission to use the pictures which I really appreciated of course! I thank him for going the extra mile to help me out. Her Parents and Siblings headstone is in front of Margaret's. I plan on repairing my Great Grandmother's headstone one day.
