Dorothy Cowley Bloomfield, age 73, of Salt Lake City, died Dec. 15, 1984 in a local nursing home.
Born Jan. 6, 1911 in Venice, Sevier County, Utah to Frankln W. and Sara Vilate (Dot) Whitney Cowley. Married William Leland Southam; later divorced. Married John Thomas Bloomfield Aug 27 1950 in Elko, Nevada; later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 27, 1983. Member DUP, Columbus Chapter and was an active member of the LDS Church service in many positions.
Survivors: Sons, Don Louis Southam, Sandy; Melvin G. Southam, Grand Junction Colo.; daughters, Mrs. Myron (Jo Ann W.) Brown, Bountiful; Mrs. Jesse (Vesta) St. Clair, Bluffdale; 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brother, Rodney Cowley, Venice; sisters, Mrs. Andrew (Laura) Smith, Roy; Gwen Frasier, Clinton; Mrs. Grant (Carol) LeFevre, Elsinore.
Funeral services will be Wednesday Dec. 19, 12 noon in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. an at Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, Sandy, one hour prior to services. Burial Larkin Sunset Gardens.
