Roanoke, VA.: Mary Ann Long Tison, age 88 of Roanoke, formerly of Whiteville, NC passed away on Tuesday Sept 18, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents Joshua and Mortie Long, siblings Ernest, Eugene and Samuel Long; Alma Tison, Alpha Farmyduval, and Martha Edge. Left to cherish her memory are sons Edgar, and wife Diane, of Whiteville, N.C., Patrick of Roanoke,Va., three grandchilren, three great-grandchildren, special friend and caregiver Richard Murray and her baby "Peppi". Mary was an avid gardener and loved to shop; a true Southern Lady.She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church, Whiteville where she taught Sunday School and was a Member of WMU. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday September 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
