Hazel L. Spencer
Hazel L. Spencer, 99, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Monday, Jan. 18, 1993 at Indianola Good Samaritan Center. Services were held Jan. 21 at Overton Funeral Home, with burial in Liberty Center Cemetery.
Mrs. Spencer was born in LIberty Center and lived in Indianola for 16 years, coming from New Virginia. She and her husband formerly owned Spencer Hardware in New Virginia for 10 years, and she was a member of New Virginia United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, in 1983.Survivors include two sons, Russell of Woodburn and Herbert of Hot Springs. Ark.; a daughter Mildred Swinford of Keokuk; three sisters, Inez Hess and Velma Newman, both of Indianola, and Helen Hancock of Scotsdale, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
Burial contributions may be made to her church.
