Mildred Joy (Tucker) Anthony, 73, of North Buffalo, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at Lifecare in Wilkinsburg. She was born Dec. 1, 1932, in Decaturville, Tenn., to Walter and Vada (Brasher) Tucker. For the past 25 years, Mrs. Anthony worked with her husband in their business, Anthony's Upholstry Shop. She was a member of the Center Hill Church of the Brethren. She was also a member of the Shriner's Hillbillies Club. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Ken Anthony; one son, Walter Anthony, of Rural Valley; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Jane England, of Pensin, Tenn., and Geneva Bell, of Henderson, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bruce Allen Peterson; and one brother, Walter L. Tucker. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home Inc., 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Friday at the Center Hill Church of the Brethren until funeral services at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Wes Berkebile, officiating. Burial will be in the Center Hill Church Cemetery.
