Carrenza Lee "Rinso" Burch, 71, of Lexington, died at his home in Rockbridge County on October 28, 2004. He was the son of the late Stephen T. Burch and Sally Noel Burch.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gerladine Blackwell Burch; two daughters: Tamera Robinette, her husband Wade; Melissa Arthur, her husband David and stepdaughter, Judy Kessinger and her husband Samuel; two granddaughters: Erika Gantert and her husband Michael; Lauren Robinette; one grandson, Lucas Arthur and one great grandson, Cameron Todd Gantert; step grandchildren: Britany, Amanda and Morgan Kessinger.

Mr. Burch was the retired chief of Campus Police for the Virginia Military Institute.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2004 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Pastor J. H. Grow, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, P. O. Box 948, Lexington, Va. 24450. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2004 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, Buena Vista.
