Ft. Madison (IA) -- Byron (Bud) Brumm, 56, 619½ Avenue F, owner of Brumm Cleaning service, died Monday evening at his home after being in ailing health for 7 years.

He was past master and a member of Claypool lodge 13 A.F. & A.M., a past patron and member of Triangle chapter No. 37 of the Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion and the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of which he had been an elder.

Brumm, a veteran of World War I, entered service June 24, 1918, and was discharged a corporal June 5, 1919.

He was born March 12, 1894, at Kingston, and married the former Mabel Cooper, December 23, 1922, in Ft. Madison. He had lived here for 30 years.

Surviving are his widow, 2 brothers, Clayton Brumm, Mediapolis, and Burton Brumm, Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Friedeman, Alexis, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers are dead.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Elder D. J. Williams and Elder W. H. Gunn officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park cemetery. There will be Masonic rites at the church.
