Joined her husband, Tiny, in eternal rest at the age of 91. She is the loving Mother and Mother in law to Henry Bentz and William and Maxine Bentz. The loving Grandmother of Rita Bateza, William Bentz Jr., Melissa Bentz, Shaun Bentz, and Jacob Bentz. She is also the loving great grandmother of Kayla, Raven, Cameron, William III, Jared, Antonio, David, Shane, Rebekah, Aiden, Jayden, Faith, Gavin, Jayce, Ava, Maria, Meadow, Brendyn, and Willowbrook. As well as the beloved sister of Walter Wells and beloved aunt, cousin, and friend to many more. Born Annie Wells in Wesleyville, Newfoundland Canada, she married Henry Bentz of Forest Hills, NY.
They raised their family in Ozone Park, NY and spent summers in Baypoint, NY until they retired to New Port Richey, Florida. As a housewife for her entire adult life she enjoyed her black coffee and most of all spending time with her husband of 50 + years, her children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. We all learned a lot of life lessons from her and will never forget her stories, her kindness, and her love. Her life was a blessing to all who knew and loved her. We could not have asked for a better mom and grandma. She will be forever in our hearts and missed immensely. May the wings of angels carry you home. Rest in peace. We love you.

A TRIBUTE TO A DEAR FRIEND

Please don't stand at my grave and weep
For I am not dead, I am merely asleep
I am the gulls flying far from the land
And the ocean washing over the sand
I am the wind that blows through your hair
And I am the salt in the Newfoundland air
I am the froth atop the waves
and I am a soul that my Savior will save
I am the creatures that swim in the sea
So my dears, there's no need to cry for me
So, please don't stand at my grave and weep
For I am not dead, I am merely asleep
Don't stand at my grave and a heavy heart bear
For I'm not in my grave, I am everywhere.

AFTER READING THIS POEM RAVEN THOUGHT OF HER AGING GREAT GRANDMOTHER. A dream of ours was to take a trip to Newfoundland with Grandma to see the beauty of the land and hear the stories of the memories she held dear. Raven always enjoyed spending time with Grandma and wanted so much to be there to say goodbye...We all love Grandma for the lessons that she taught...for being our rock...our teacher..our preacher...our light. More than that she touched our lives by defining the meaning of Family, Love, Endurance,Respect. We are all blessed to have known her and in honor of her life we continue to remember...Smile for she is with Pop-Pop and family who are all gathered around watching over us.

WE LOVE YOU!!

Grandma was loved by many and her memory lives with all who knew her. She is now joining her husband in Heaven and I will see her one day when I get there. I love you Grandma and you meant a lot to me and your stories made my eyes open to brighter things. I shall not weep so much for I know you are no longer suffering. You are a memory and a treasure in my heart. It will be hard not seieng you alive but you can never be forgotten. I know you are now safely home with God and I will miss you but I know you are no longer suffering and have a new body. I will come to visit you often. Love always, Kayla Bentz.

When someone becomes a memory the memory becomes a treasure....Hey Grandma tell Jesus and everyone I said hi and I will see you one day.

We Love you Grandma and will see you in Heaven. Love always, David, Antonio, Rebekah, Faith, & Maria Bateza.

SAFELY HOME

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And he came himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.

There is work still waiting for you
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth-
You shall rest in Jesus land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
