Mary Matilda "Mollie" Dulin was a daughter of Milton (Melton?) Dulin and his wife Sophia Weddington. Her father was a Confederate soldier killed in the War. She married David A. King (1854-1925) on 7 Feb. 1877. They were living near her mother at Clear Creek, Mecklenburg County, NC in 1880, but later lived on a farm called "Four Oaks" near New Cut, Lancaster County, SC. Mary's siter Nancy Jane Dulin (1863-1918) married David's nephew Emsley Valentine Stearns (1859-1920).

David and Mary Matilda Dulin King had eight children:
A. Leola "Lily" Estelle King (29 Dec. 1877-26 Oct. 1961), m. Henry Stanford Rowell, 7 children.
B. Minnie E. King (17 May 1884-31 July 1907), m. B. F. Stogner, died young, one daughter.
C. Hattie Sapphire King (16 June 1887-14 March 1983) m. John Ervin Walters, (2 children), 2. m. Robert Frank Knight
