Rado Shikles, 85, Kansas City, formerly of Russellville, died Thursday at the Menorah Hospital, Kansas City. He was born July 24, 1908, near Enon, a son of Enoch and Annie Roark Shikles. He was married Feb. 12, 1929, in Tuscumbia, to Gladys Bond, who died June 4, 1993.

He was a farmer in the Russellville area and a member of the Enon Baptist Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Wilma McKinley, Kansas City; one brother, Bailey Shikles, Eldon; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Harold Lloyd Shikles, who died April 11, 1951.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Enon Baptist Church. The Rev. C.D. Butler and the Rev. Bob Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Garden Cemetery, Eugene. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
