ENOCH E. SHIKLES DIES AT HIS FARM
NEAR ENON
Funeral services for Enoch E. Shikles, 86,
of Enon were held at 2 p.m. yesterday
at the Enon Baptist Church.
Mr. Shikles died at 8:30 p.m. Monday at
his home. His sudden death
was attributed to a heart attack. He had been
in declining health for about three years, but in
recent days had seemed much improved.
He was born near Enon September 16,
1876 a son of Allen and Ann Shikles.
On June 2, 1901 he was married to Ann
Roark. She survives.
Mr. Shikles was a retired farmer. He was
a member of the Enon Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife of the home
are two daughters, Mrs. Vincent Koester of
Jefferson City, and Mrs. Claud Williams of Enon;
two sons, Rado of Enon and Bailey, of Eldon;
one brother, Hiram Shikles, Enon; three grand-
children and five great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Lloyd Patters officiated at the ser-
vices Wednesday. Burial was in Enloe Ceme-
tery under the direction of Steffen Funeral Home
