Homer Hughes, 71, of LaFollette, died Monday. He was a member of Cumberland Avenue Church of God and a retired coal miner.
Survivors are wife, Mallie Hughes; daughters, Mrs. Edna Byrd, Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Neil Parrott, Gary, Ind.; sons, William H. Hughes, Kingston, Walter R. Hughes, Dayton; sisters, Nona Goins, Baltimore, Geanette Wilson, Genina Ayers and Flossie Ayers, Habersham; brother, Luther Hughes, Clinton.
Services were Wednesday at the Cumberland Avenue Church of God with the Rev. W. E. Wright officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Cross Funeral Home was in charge.
