Robert George "Bob" Monica, 74, passed away in his home on Thursday, August 30th, 2012. He was born on October 22nd, 1937 in Syracuse, New York. He served in the Navy as a Firefighter Assistant. After the service, Bob was a member of the International Painters and Allied Trade union. He retired and moved to Riverside County in 1994.
Bob was a big fan of country line dancing, loved working in his woodshop, and enjoyed various other hobbies. He attended the Woodstock Music Festival, but admits his only memory of it was that it rained.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Marie Elena Monica, in 2009.
He is survived by his sisters Barbara, Betty (Joe), Janet, and his brother Phin; his sons Robert (Bob), Mike, Jesse, Jerry, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; his step-children Yvonne, James and Louie; and his step-grandchildren Alison, Robert and Raymond.
Services to be held on September 10, 2012 at the Riverside National Cemetery.
