85-Year-Old Resident Dies,

George S. Andrews, aged 85, retired glove man, died yesterday morning at 5 at his home, 24 North Melcher street. He had been in failing health for some time.
He was born in Sageville, Hamilton County, March 2, 1862, the son of Stephen A. and Lucy (Rudes) Andrews.
Mr Andrews came to Johnstown 63 years ago and was united in marriage to Rosella Fish who died several years ago.
While still a young man he was bookkeeper in the William Youngs grocery. Later he was a partner of John Johns for a few years in a glove business, then opened a shop of his own in the rear of his home and continued to manufacture gloves until 1920 when he retired.
The survivors are one daughter Mrs. John Menges, with whom he made his home, and one son George A Andrews of this city.
The body was removed to the Wassung-Brown & Ehle funeral home where a private funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2.
The Rev. James W. Hood of the United Presbyterian church will officiate and interment will be made in Fern Dale cemetery.
