Mr. Jarvis was born Sept. 15, 1927, in White Salmon, Wash., and lived in the Clark County area for 70 years.
He owned Central Electric Motor & Service in Portland for 28 years. He retired in 1977.
His son, Paul, died in 1968.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Geraldine, at home; one daughter, Terry Anderson of Woodland; two sons, Bret of Portland and Ambrose of Woodland; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was a member of the Electrical Workers Union in Portland and Salmon Creek American Legion Post No. 176.
Mr. Jarvis enjoyed fishing, clam-digging and driving his tractor.
A service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, with burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
