Leith Gordon, Jr., known as Bub, died at his home in Wadesboro, NC on Saturday night 29 Jan 1947 after an extended illness with a heart ailment.
He was one of the town's most popular and useful citizens, a road inspector and supervisor of the State Highway Commission with which he had been connected for about 27 years.
He was a son of Mrs. Lila Walton Gordon and the late Mr. Leith Gordon of Morganton, NC. He was the grandson of Captain Theodore Leith and Margaret Wawn Gordon of Morganton.
Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife, the former Bernice Pope of Wadesboro; his mother; two brothers, Theodore L. Gordon of Morganton and James W. Gordon of Norfolk, VA and one sister Miss Marjorie Leith Gordon of Morganton.
