Found in The State 24 April 1902: About 5:30 o'clock yesterday morning Mrs. Elizabeth McCreery, widow of the late Mr. T. A. McCreery, passed away at her home at the corner of Bull and Senate streets. Mrs. McCreery has been in failing health for some time, but was able to be out riding Tuesday morning. There was no intimation whatever of her impending demise. She died very unexpectedly. Mr. McCreery was about 67 years of age. She was a devoted member of the Second Presbyterian church. Mrs. McCreery leaves to mourn her six children: Messrs. R. Alex., and Joseph McCreery, Mrs. Matterson of Providence, R. I. Mrs. J. Caldwell Robertson, Mrs. John T. Melton and Mrs. E. L. Wingfield of this city. The announcement as to the funeral services will be made later. The interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
