LARRY KUPIEC; 53, of North Adams: Larry Charles Kupiec, 53, of 53 A St., North Adams, died Friday night at North Adams Regional Hospital, where he was admitted Tuesday. He had been in ill health for the past year. A native of Adams, he was born March 26, 1937. He was a son of Bernadette (Guild) Kupiec and the late Apolian Kupiec. He attended schools there, including the former Adams High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1955 and served until 1959. Following his discharge, he was employed as a laboratory technician with Sprague Electric Co., North Adams, for the past 31 years. He was a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club. He and his wife, the former Daisy Veronica Sobon, whom he married Feb. 6, 1960. Besides his mother in Lithia, Fla., and his wife, he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Todd (Judy) Haynes of Nashville, Tenn., Peggy J. Kupiec and Shelly A. Kupiec, both of North Adams; three sisters, Bernadette Kupiec of Lithia, Fla, Mrs. Donald (Elaine) Bush and Mrs. Ernest (Nancy) Levesque, both of Adams; two brothers, Benjamin Kupiec of Adams and Ronald Kupiec of Cheshire; nieces; nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews. Another brother, Ralph Kupiec, died in November 1972. Services were held today at 11 a.m. at the Flynn and Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals-Central Chapels, North Adams. The Rev. Donald E. Gray, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Adams, officiated. Burial followed in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are suggested for a charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
