She was born on December 6, 1922 in Catawba County, to the late Roland and Loy McLain Craven. Mrs. Brown managed the Sewing Circle in Mooresville then later retired from General Times in Davidson.
She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for over 25 years. Mrs. Brown was a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church in Mooresville, where she was very active throughout the years and a member of the Nita Stewart/Sue White Women’s Circle. Juliet was an avid gardener, loved caring for all her beautiful flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Brown, Sr.; brother, Tommy Craven; and sisters, Rebecca Mills and Mary Beth Kennedy.
She is survived by her children, Clyde Brown (Linda),Beverly Holt (Jim), Eric Brown (Lana), Walter Lee Brown, Jr.; sisters, Evelyn Simms, Martha Ann Ware (Brohn), Sarah Washam; brother, Walter Craven (Peggy); grandchildren, Kathy Cornett (Clint), Jody Nelson (Chad), Ronald Brown, Todd Holshouser (Alicia), Meredith Brown, Chris Brown; great grandchildren, Amber Henry, Grace and Gabe Holshouser, Brandon Brown; great great grandson, Jaxon Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9 from 1:30-2:45 PM in the Fellowship Hall of Central United Methodist Church in Mooresville. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Rev. Randy Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
