Albert was born September 29, 1920 on the family farm near Coleharbor, North Dakota, the son of Adolph and Margaretha (Gellner) Henne. He was raised on the farm and educated at country schools in that area. He assisted with the operation of the farmstead in McLean County, north of Coleharbor, and eventually purchased the farm from his father, the same farm that was homesteaded after the family came to the United States from southern Russia.
Albert was united in marriage to Regina Schaaf on January 23, 1982. After he retired from farming and raising cattle, they moved to Bismarck. Regina died June 12, 2003. Albert had continued to live in Bismarck, until recently moving to his brother's home, south of Minot.
Albert was a member of Prayer Lutheran Church, Bismarck. He enjoyed dining out on a daily basis, especially at the Speedway Restaurant in Bismarck.
Albert's loving family includes his brother, G.G. Henne and his wife, Mildred, rural Minot, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 4 sisters and two brothers.
Funeral service: Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church Fellowship Hall, Minot;
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation: (Today) Tuesday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army or organization of the donor's choice.
