Vincent Jacob "Vince" Meuchel Jr.
1934 - 2012

Vincent J. Meuchel Jr., 77, was born September 30, 1934. On September 12, 2012, he went to be with the Lord.

As a young man, he worked on lookouts and later he worked on a survey crew for the US Forest Service. On January 10, 1957, he married the love of his life, Dolores I. McPeak, in Kellogg, Idaho. They had the first produce stand in western Montana, where they sold the produce that they raised. Vince owned and operated a school bus for many years. They also owned and operated Meuchel's Farmers Market.

He was the president of the Grantsdale Community Club House. Vince enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his passion was farming. Vince loved his family and they loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores of Hamilton; children, Mac, Mike and Lisa, Dan and Tammy, Peggy and Jim Falk, Anne and Ray McBride; grandchildren, Mike, Ariel, Kassidy, Breanna and Dannie; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Sr. and Thecla Meuchel; one sister, Betty Kay; and brothers, Jerome, Bob, John and Eddy.

YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!

A rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hamilton. A luncheon will follow at the Pastoral Life Center. A private committal service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Grantsdale Community Club House at Farmers State Bank. Brothers Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with service arrangements.
