Dumcombe - Darlene J. Andrews ,51 of Duncombe, died Tuesday morning at her home following a lengthy illness.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bruce's funeral home in Fort Dodge with the Rev. Richard Schreiver, pastor of Trinity Luthern Church, Dayton, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m.today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband James E. Andrews: son Andy Andrews, west Des Moines; daughter, Peggy Van Gorkom, Cassville,Mo. six grandchildren: three great grandchildren: brothers Ted Bailey, St Louis, Mo. Ed Bailey, Mason City; and father Arthur Bailey, of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her mother Lois and sisters Wilma Bailey and Marilyn Howe.
Darlene was born July 7th 1941 in Lehigh. She grew up in Duncombe and graduated from Webster City Lincoln High School in 1961. She worked for Glove Union for 10 years until she had to retire because of poor health. She married Jim Andrews in 1990 at Cassville.Mo. After her marraige the couple lived in rural Duncombe.
She was a member of the Trinity Luthern Church in Dayton.
