Lena married Jess E Yount November 25, 1910. They owned a small fruit farm in Kansas City Kansas. They are the parents of two daughters Kathryn and Jessie. Lena moved to Nevada to be near her daughter Kathryn.

In the 1940 Shawnee, Wyandotte County, Kansas Census Lena, age 53, is living with her nephew JE (John Ervin) Emrich, age 28.
