Mrs.Ella MacDonald 1956 Bridgewater Bulletin

The death of Ella, widow of Samuel MacDonald, of Meisners, occurred at the Dawson Memorial Hospital, Bridgewater, on Sunday morning, May 20th. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kaiser of Cherryfield.

She is survived by three sons and five daughters. The sons are Clifford of New Germany; Lewis residing in New Brunswick; and Sammie, Jr., at home. The daughters are Eva (Mrs. Joe Torter), Far Rockway, Long Island, New York, who arrived by plane on Sunday to attend the funeral of her mother; Belle (Mrs. Whitford Oickle), Upper North River; Victoria (Mrs. Earle MacLeod), Kentville; Frances (Mrs. Victor Holland), Meisners; Lavania (Mrs. Frederick Chambers) Springfield. the only surviving sister is Jennie (Mrs. James Robar), Cherryfield. There are also 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A son, Bert, predeceased her five years ago.

The funeral on Wednesday was held in the church at North Riverand was conducted by the Rev. C.H. Whitteker, pastor of the Lutheran Church at Bridgewater. Interment in the new cemetery at New Germany.
