Hi everyone.
I have been working at genealogy, off and on, for about 35 years. My lines are primarily in Lunenburg, Queens and Halifax Counties of Nova Scotia.
I started taking pictures of stones with my first digital camera a number of years ago. At first it was not for genealogical purposes, it was because a cemetery in our community had been vandalized and I thought we should have a record of what stones looked like. Of course the pictures also proved valuable to genealogists.
All of my pictures have my initials on them. You can find them in the lower left hand corner of the picture. If there is a full birth date for a living person listed on a stone, I generally blank that out for their privacy.
I have thousands of pictures and will get as many put on this site as quickly as I can. However, the obits that I gather for my own website take priority because people also find those helpful.
If you are looking for a stone picture in Lunenburg or Queens counties, there is a good chance that I have it, so just ask. If I don't have it and have time, I will go get it for you.
