Velma G. Miller, 78, of Mont Alto, died at 6:15 pm. Saturday, December 30, 1995, at her home.

She was born February 4, 1917 in South Bend, IN, a daughter of the late John and Mabel [Sheneloff] Swailes.

Survivors include four sons, Nevin Geedy, Mifflin; Robert Geedy, Fannettsburg; Larry Geedy, East Waterford; and Clifford Geedy, Orrstown; three daughters, Arlene Clever, Shippensburg; Vira Wible, Chambersburg; and Rhonda Cook, Mont Alto; one brother, Mauddest Swailes, Chambersburg; two sisters, Bertha McQuerry, Walnut Bottom; and Pauline Henry, Chambersburg; 36 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 60 great-gandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four great- grandchildren and five brothers and sisters.

She was last employed in the food preparation department of Franklin County Nursing Home. She was a member of Deliverance in Christ Church, Chambersburg.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 3 from Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, with Rev. Lonnie Shover officiating. Interment was in East Waterford Cemetery.
