NORWALK - Janice M. Riley, 66, of Norwalk, died Tuesday morning at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 30, 1940, in Mt. Vernon in Knox County. She came to this area in 1978 after living in the Columbus area for 30 years.
She was a former employee of Gaymont Nursing Center, Kmart, and had also provided home health care. She enjoyed reading and her pet dog.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Roy Swartz of Canal Winchester, Christine Kelly of Columbus and Denise and Gary Blessing of Pickerington; step daughters, Stacy and Ted Heitsche of Collins, Darla Miller of Lorain and Sharon and Darwin Grodi of Norwalk; step sons, Scott and Terri Riley of Norwalk and Drew and Chris Riley of Norwalk; a brother, Gerald Jenkins of Belleair, Md.; sisters, Joyce Hartle of Sandusky and Linda Herner of Norwalk; and 16 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David in 2000; and a stepson, David "Butch" Riley in 1997.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Norwalk.
