ENID, Okla. — Graveside service for Leo E. Key, 91, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in New Zion Cemetery, Chandler, Okla., with Rev. Bruce Newby officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Leo was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Chandler, Okla., to W.T. and Grace (Goodman) Key and passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Greenbrier Nursing Home.
He grew up in Chandler, where he attended and graduated from Chandler High School.
Leo married Naomi George on Dec. 23, 1944, in Hayward, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Navy for three years during WWII.
Leo went to work for Mobil Oil Co. and retired in January 1986, after 30 years.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Leo is survived by his wife, Naomi of Enid; daughter, Janet Kreie and husband Kirby of Enid; grandsons, Brian Kreie, Doug Kreie and wife Tashanna all of Enid; great-grandsons, Dylan, Taylor and Dominick Kreie, all of Enid; three brothers, Don Key of Thomas, Okla., Dick Key of Chandler, Okla., and Jack Key of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Alma Hinkle and Cheryl Davidson, both of Chandler, Okla.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Gary and Michael Key; a brother, Melvin Key; and a sister, Phyllis Runko.
Leo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, diabetes division, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
