Helen is the daughter of Albert Raymond Sr., and Ione Elizabeth Bryant Gwaltney. She was born in Gibson Co. but grew up much of her life in Madison Co, TN. She is survived by one brother, Albert Raymond Gwaltney, Jr.
At age 20, on 12 Oct 1937, she married Ned Mims French in Haywood Co., TN. Helen and Ned made their home in Memphis for many years. They raised two sons there. Helen was a beautiful lady and one of my mother's favorite cousins. Although they did not see each other often, they stayed in touch throughout their lives. My mom preceded Helen in death by 6 years but always spoke so very highly of her. Helen is my 1st cousin, 1X removed.
