Lyman Self Burton, age 69, passed away October 1, 1993 in Salt Lake City.
Born August 11, 1924 to Hardy Garr and Florence Self Burton. Married Helen Kuhre Sept. 20, 1946, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a Sergeant in the Salt Lake City Police Department and retired in 1977 after 31 years of service.
Survived by wife, Helen; daughters, Susan Ossana, Moab; Kristen Burton, Salt Lake City; sons, Michael, Mark and Scott Burton, all of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Burton and brother, Herbert Burton, both of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 4th at 11 a.m. in the Rose Park 1st Ward Chapel (1153 West 800 North - Salt Lake City). Friends may call at the Russon Brothers Mortuary (255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City) Sunday 6-8 p.m. and at the church Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
