Iris Hays Savio, age 71, a duel resident of Rockwall, Texas and Tollegno, Italy, passed away September 11, 2012. She was born on August 6, 1941 in Monahans, TX, to Ruey David Hays & Dove Celestie (Ferguson) Hays. Iris was a Registered Nurse and a member of Eastridge Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband: Giuseppe Savio; sister: Wanda Talley of Sachse, TX; brother: Earl Hays & wife Kay of Alaska; brothers and sister-in-law: Umberto Savio & Maria Canale, Mauro Vercellino, Lucia Savio, Angela Savio, Fosca Savio and Pietro Savio; dearly loved nephews: Massimo and Mattia Savio, all of Italy; nieces and nephews: Bonnie & Stan Turner, Phil & Kathy Talley, Judy & Marvin Faldon, Keith Talley, and Diana & Dave Imlay; sixteen great nieces and nephews; and five great-great nieces and nephews, all of America. Iris was preceded in death by her parents; and brother: James Ernest Hays.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Eastridge Church of Christ, 485 N. FM 549, Rockwall, TX, with James Hawk officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Chris Talley, Matt Talley, Garrett Turner, Cody Talley, Kevin Talley and Jon Merritt, all great nephews.
