TERRY, HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI - John Lester Hagans, 65, died March 15, 1987, at University Medical Center. Services are 3 p.m. today at New Haven Baptist Church with burial in Terry Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 2 p.m. today at the church.

A native of Bulloch County, GA., Mr. Hagans was a former resident of Jackson and had been a resident of Terry for 36 years. He was a member and deacon of the Hew Haven Baptist Church and a retired farmer. Mr. Hagans was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he received the Purple Heart in Sicily. He was a member of the Henry H. Graves Post No. I of the American Legion and the Robert C. Nail Post 687 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Fulcher Hagans; daughter, Mrs. Jack N. (Darlene) Williams of Terry; brothers, J.E. Hagans of Stilson, Ga., Solomon Hagans of Jesup, Ga., and James M. Hagans of Savannah, Ga.; sisters, Mrs. Lester (Doris) Colson of agan, Ga., Mrs. Robbiie (Vertie) Iler of Savannah, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Keith Kilcrease Fund at the Suntrust Bank.
